| DR. ZAHEER KHAN (CMD) |

Mr. Zaheer Ahmad Khan is a renowned Health and Population Scientist and Chairman and Managing Director with FactIndepth India. Mr. Khan has provided technical assistance to IIPS (as Senior Technical Advisor, Division of Demographic health Surveys (DHS), Macro International, USA) of conducting and implementing the India’s National Family Health Surveys (NFHS-2 and NFHS-3).
Mr. Khan has also provided technical assistance for conducting and implementing more than 100 benchmark surveys for SIFPSA in Uttar Pradesh (1998-2003). He has also provided technical support for conducting and implementing the 1995 PERFORM survey and Male Reproductive Health Survey in Uttar Pradesh (The Evaluation Project, University of North Carolina). Mr. Khan has also provided the technical guidance (as Senior consultant, PATH, India) for conducting Baseline Survey in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra for Sure Start Project. Mr. Khan has also worked with UNICEF, Futures Group International, Population Council, Intrahealth, MoHFW and Government of India. Mr. Khan is a specialist in conducting large scale Health and Population Surveys. He has contributed more than twenty research papers and reports.

Prof. M. M. Gandotra is Research Advisor with FactIndepth India. Prof. Gandotra had his training in Demography and Bio-statistics from the United Nation’s Regional Demographic Training and Research Centre (now IIPS), Mumbai and the Dept. of Bio-statistics, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, USA. He has extensive experience in conducting large-scale demographic health surveys like National Family Health Surveys, Reproductive and Child Health Surveys and Multi-Indicator Cluster Surveys in different states of the country. He served as a member of Steering Committee and Technical Advisory Committee for NFHS II.
Prof. Gandotra has been the Principal Investigator of number of projects supported by the Government of India, ICMR, Family Planning Foundation of India, Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, IDRC, WHO, UNICEF, USAID, World Bank etc. He has contributed more than one hundred twenty five research papers in various national and international professional journals and has seven books to his credit. Prof. Gandotra represented the country to the twenty first special session of the United Nation’s General Assembly at New York, under the Leadership of the Ministry for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, to review the implementation of ICPD plan of action by various member countries.
